Dealer\/house should establish a \u201cburn limit\u201d to keep the game friendly.<\/p><p><br \/><\/p>\n\n<p><h2>The Deal<\/h2> After an initial ante each player is dealt four face-down cards. During the deal, any player may say \u201cSpit\u201d and one face-up card is dealt into the middle of the table. This card is wild, as are any other cards of the same rank.<\/p><p><br \/><\/p>\n\n<p><h2>The Play<\/h2> After the deal, players declare if they are going to play or stand out of the round. Those who play may draw cards to their hand. There is one betting round, followed by the showdown.<\/p><p><br \/><\/p>\n\n<p><h2>Ending the Game<\/h2> After each hand, players who went but did not have the highest hand must match the pot (up to any burn limit). The deal rotates, and the game ends when no one must match the pot. Usually after the deal rotates around the table, a final \u201ceveryone plays, no one pays\u201d hand is held.<\/p><p><br \/><\/p>\n\n<p><h2>What Wins<\/h2> Though you can sometimes steal a pot with a flush, full house or better is frequent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Game This is a match the pot game.
